The Cottages
The Byre
The living area in The Byre.
According local information, this building was used for cattle who were tethered at appropriate times with chains attached to posts. Some of the latter have been used to form the main doorways from the living accommodation in The Byre and into the pool.
A large living area occupies one end. The room extends into the pitch revealing the heavy timbers of the roof structure. There is a three piece suite situated around the wood burning stove. The end windows face the west and a door opens onto a patio with table and chairs. There is a television and video recorder.
Raised a step above the living room is the fully equipped kitchen with a four ring gas cooker. A window to the North has superb views across a valley to the forest.
A door leads from the entrance way to a short passage off which is a shower room with a shower cubicle, twin bedroom and master bedroom at the end. The twin room has a large built in wardrobe.
The master bedroom is large with ceiling extending to the pitch and a large Victorian wardrobe. The main wall is fabric covered. The bathroom off the bedroom has a wall hung WC, basin inset into a large marble top and double ended large bath.
