Mr Brock comes visiting in High Tipalt!
Heidi in one of the hay meadows.
We are situated four miles north of Hadrian's Wall. It is necessary to cross it to reach us and the sites of Housesteads and Vindolanda are only a short distance away.
We are also just off Route 68 of the North Penine Cycle Route. Bikes can be hired in Haltwhistle.
Naturally we have plenty of wild life some include:- stoat, weasel, badger, fox, deer, red squirrel (actually seen in the car park!), buzzard, heron, pied wagtail etc.
We have a shed in one of the woods with a lookout window to try and spot some of these animals!
The hay meadows are not cut until late July and so there are many wild flowers to be seen in late June early July.
There are plenty of places to walk on our land and the surrounding land.
At night there is little or no light pollution and so the view of the night sky can be fantastic.
As previously mentioned it is possible to get to Newcastle within the hour and to sample some of the sights there. The Quayside with Millenium Bridge is worth a visit. For the scientist there is the Life musuem and for the literary there is the Seven Storey book museum.
North Northumberland has some fabulous beach scenery, it is possible to get to Bamburgh in an hour and a half. There are many castles to visit including Bamburgh and Alnwick.
In the opposite direction is the Lake District with all it's natural charms.
