Large Black Pigs
At the moment we have one large black pig, George.

Manx Loaghtan Sheep
We have a flock of Manx Loaghtan which are short tailed primative sheep that would have been found in these parts for hundreds of years. This breed comes from The Isle of Man - Loaghtan means brown in Manx. They were however often interbred with similar breeds in the North of Engand and Southern Scotland.
They are smaller than normal sheep with a lovely toffee coloured fleece. They also can have up to six large horns.

The sheep are hard to contain as they can jump most of our walls so they do turn up in unexpected places! (Usually eating my plants).

The Hens
We have a selection of hens including Marans which are Rare Breed.
They wander at will and so the eggs are very definitely free range.
