Scotchcoulthard Farm

We have many animals on the farm. Our pets are:- Meg, Heidi, and Rob, all labradors, Sadie, a Jack Russell, and Mishka, Sasha, Kasper, Toby, Cal, the cats. The dogs do like to visit and will plead hunger! You can read more about the dogs here.

The farm animals are mainly Rare Breed. We have Esme a mixed Rare Breed sow and a young boar (Middle White crossed with Large Black) born August 2012. He has been named Charlie by one of our holiday guests. We do sell our pork, sausages and lamb when available.

Our land is occassionally let out for some Belted Galloways and so we often have beef for sale too.

There are Manx Loghtan sheep that roam at will plus some ex-pet lambs that are still friendly. We have a grey horse, Turner who is very friendly and likes attention.

There are many wild animals to be found on the farm and in the surrounding countryside. Red squirrels, badgers, foxes, buzzards, adders, deer, otters, herons and pied wagtails to name but a few. We are always interested if guests find anymore.

The wild animal photos are taken by local photographer Steve Wrightson.

Some of the pet and farm animal photographs have been taken by another local photographer, Penny Armstrong. If you would like to book her to come up and take photos of your pets or children please contact her at:
